Position Overview:

As a Salesforce Technical Architect,  you will serve as the subject matter expert in the technical aspects of the Salesforce platform.  In this role, you will be responsible for successfully designing and managing the delivery of cross-cloud solutions and technologies that include, but are not necessarily limited to, products, APIs, Apex, Visualforce, Aura/Lightning Web Components, mobile development technologies, and integration/ETL technologies. In this position, you will lead technical discovery sessions, document technical requirements, design solutions and meet regularly with developers to review code. You’ll also use your expertise to help our sales and delivery teams create accurate project scopes.



  • Scoping technical portions of the project based on the information provided during the sales and delivery project phases
  • Confidently leading client discussions on integrations and commonly used middleware options 
  • Designing scalable and reusable Aura and Lightning Web Component Applications as well as Visualforce pages that meet project requirements
  • Applying an advance understanding of various integration tools and techniques such as SOAP/REST, Outbound Messaging, Apex Callouts, Apex Web Service, Canvas, Lighting Connect, and Integration Platform as a Service to design solutions
  • Building custom interfaces to extend standard functionality and increase user adoption by using Lighting Design System, Visualforce components, JavaScript, Apex Controllers and custom CSS
  • Designing scalable data models and recommending data migration strategies when moving from legacy systems to Salesforce
  • Creating or overseeing the creation of all technical project documentation including technical architecture diagrams and data process flows 
  • Defining appropriate environment strategy and release plans, given the project requirements
  • Communicating in a clear and timely manner with team members
  • Providing leadership to support the Torrent business as well as other Torrent guides
  • Practicing Torrent Consulting’s project management practices
  • Identifying, managing and escalating project risks and issues appropriately

Key Experience and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • 6+ years of Salesforce experience or equivalent Developer experience preferred
  • Salesforce certification(s) preferred:
    • Salesforce Administrator
    • Platform App Builder
    • Platform Developer I
    • One of the following:
      • Sales Cloud Consultant
      • Service Cloud Consultant
      • Health Cloud Accreditation
    • One of the following:
      • Certified Application Architect
      • Certified System Architect
      • One additional architecture certification from the opposite side of the Salesforce architecture triangle as previous domain certification
  • Ability to utilize best practices in project work
  • Superior organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver your message to varied audiences
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • High level of comfort with a fast-paced work environment and ability to adapt to changes in processes or company culture
